Pineapple Ginger Grilled Bavette Steak

Pineapple Ginger Grilled Bavette Steak

A bright pineapple-ginger marinade tenderizes bavette steak for the grill. We served it with Asian noodles and roasted broccoli — the bavette was tender and delicious.

  • 3/4 cup soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Place the soy sauce, vinegar, ginger, garlic, and pineapple in a blender or food processor and purée until mostly smooth.
  2. Pour the mixture over the thawed bavette steak, coating it on all sides, then marinate 3–4 hours. (The pineapple helps tenderize the steak.)
  3. Wipe off the marinade and get a grill smoking hot. Put the bavette on the grill and cook without touching for 5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook 3 minutes on the other for medium-rare.
  4. Let sit for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with Asian noodles and roasted broccoli.
