Beef Nachos
Loaded, cheesy, and built for sharing
Good nachos start with good beef. Seasoned Whitt's Place ground beef piled over crisp tortilla chips and plenty of melty cheese makes a platter that disappears fast on game day.
Build them in layers so every chip gets its fair share of beef and cheese — no sad, bare chips at the bottom.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Whitt's Place ground beef
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 large bag tortilla chips
- 2 cups shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack
- 1 can black beans, drained
- 1/2 cup pickled jalapeños
- 2 Roma tomatoes, diced
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
- Sour cream, salsa, and guacamole, to serve
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water, and simmer until thickened, about 3 minutes.
- Spread half the chips on a sheet pan. Top with half the beef, beans, and cheese. Repeat with a second layer.
- Bake at 400°F for 8–10 minutes, until the cheese is fully melted and bubbling.
- Scatter with jalapeños, tomatoes, and green onions. Serve right away with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole.
Whitt's Tip
Shred your own cheese — pre-shredded is coated to prevent caking and never melts as smoothly.
